Are You Ready For A New Challenge?

Hey everyone! I can't believe that this is my last week to share beautifully vivid inspiration over on the

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog!

This weeks theme is "Art Journal!" And I have to tell you that I was so excited for this one! I have had a Dyan Reaveley, Dylusions Black Creative Journal for a while now and have always wanted to start journaling but I never knew where to begin! The truth is that you just have to open that journal up and start! And the best part is that you don't have to have a plan! Just start, and it will evolve! I promise you! Think of it this way, that journal is for you, your thoughts, your feelings, your memories! It becomes a journey into the deepest parts of ourselves! I can't wait for you to experience the magic of journaling so you can start creating pages like these!
You didn't think that I would leave the

without an
Alcohol Inked Flower
for y'all did you?!
Yes! This is an alcohol inked page! Whenever I teach this technique there is always this unbelievable wow factor that comes over the room! You can literally feel the excitement! It's like throwing everything you have ever heard about alcohol ink right out the window! Alright rule breakers (you know who you are!) let's get started!
The first thing that you must do is prime your paper with gesso! Dina Wakley has this awesome little tube that works wonders on paper! Once it is dry you're ready to use Tim Holtz's Alcohol Ink as you normally would! If you are using the Dyan's Dylusions Black Creative Journal you'll need to add a tiny bit of Tim Holtz's Snowcap Alcohol Ink to your colors.

Oh my goodness! Can you believe that you can achieve a flower like that on black paper?! I used the Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink Air Blower to blow those beautiful petals! I did the same thing on the other page!

You can't see it in this picture but this page was totally saturated in alcohol inks! I could not believe how well this held up! There was no curling, no peeling, nothing! In fact I saturated it...after I had already saturated, it to test it out and it still amazed me! I can't wait to try Dyan's other journals!
I then took a Dylusions Paint Pen in white to add details to the flower! And then caught some inspiration from the Queen of Art Journaling...Ms. Dyan Reaveley and started to write!
And write... and write! This was a blast! I was able to just let go and write whatever and wherever the heck I wanted! I was completely breaking every rule everyone has ever heard about alcohol inking and every rule about how journals are to be kept neat and tidy....And I was loving it!!!!
Those cute little evil fish are part of Dyan's Under The Sea Stamp Set ! Aren't they adorable! The leaf tree was inspired by Dyan's Dyalog Stencil Border which I used as well!
So there you have it! Are you ready to start journaling? I know I can't wait to start another page. Trust me....Just open your journal and
Start.....your heart already has a plan!
It's Magical!

This is my last week on the
